RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES
I suggest you do not purchase any major tools prior to class. There will be a lot of instruction in class on various tool options and possible hands-on use of some.
Required tools
Respirator mask (for blocking dust)
Protective gloves
Application trowel and application scrapers if desired. The Flexible trowel works great. You can purchase from Faux Design Studio in Chicago or Color Atelier in San Francisco.
Optional
There will be a variety of stencils, decorative rollers and tools to make decorative effects, however you are welcome to bring your own.
If you have a nicer (MIrka, Festool, Surfprep, Fein) orbital sander you are welcome to bring it. )
Travel
This class is being hosted in Duluth, Minnesota. If flying you can fly into Duluth (DLH) or Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) which is 2 hours south or Duluth.
Lodging to check would be Tru by Hilton, Days Inn by Wyndham is close, but you will have to read reviews of the motel. It has been there forever and I have no idea what it is like. Country Inn and Suites by Raddison is closest to the airport. The Canal Park area is the hotspot to stay, but also the highest rates.
